Memorial Day Parade
Westlake's annual Memorial Day parade kicks off at Westlake Christian Church, 25800 Hilliard Boulevard and proceeds east to Clague Park where a dedication ceremony takes place. |
4th of July Parade and Fireworks The city's annual 4th of July parade begins at Westlake High School and proceeds east on Hilliard Boulevard to Clague Park. Walkers join the parade at Westlake Christian Church, 25800 Hilliard Boulevard. Evening festivities take place at Clague Park. Food and drink vendors are located near Clague Cabin along with musical entertainment. Fireworks begin at dusk - weather permitting. |

Summer Concerts in the Park On Sunday evenings in July and/or August sweet sounds of music and friendly greetings fill the air at the Westlake Recreation Center. The city of Westlake Summer Concert Series is held at the Recreation Center Pavilion from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The FREE concerts have a variety of performers appropriate for all age groups. All are invited to bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy this traditional summer pastime. |

Westlake in Bloom Westlake in Bloom is a friendly competition among residents, organizations and businesses in the Westlake community competing in categories ranging from window boxes to residential landscaping. Each year, hundreds of participants compete for first, second and third place awards. Special efforts are recognized with Awards of Distinction. |

October Pumpkin Festival A fun filled festival, held in mid-October has become a Westlake tradition. It includes a pumkin hunt (designed for all age groups), face painting, hay rides, hay maze, treats, inflatables and much more. This FREE community event takes place on the grounds of the Westlake Recreation Center. The date and times are published each year in the Fall Recreation Brochure and are found at this website. |

Christmas Tree Lighting The Tree Lighting Ceremony is held each year at Crocker Park. This event serves as the kick-off for the holiday season. Mayor Dennis Clough and members of City Council take time to welcome residents and visitors and call upon Santa Claus to help light the tree. Various singing groups entertain the crowd with holiday music and members of the Westlake Town Criers announce a new couple to hold the title of Mr. and Mrs. Westlake for the upcoming year.
