D.A.R.E. Officer Keenan Cook

Westlake Police Department administers Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) using uniformed officers to deliver key prevention messages to students in elementary through high school. Our officers instruct D.A.R.E. in the Westlake City Schools, as well as two private schools. The instruction begins in the third grade and continues in fifth, seventh and tenth grades.

 

Westlake Police Department currently has one officer assigned to D.A.R.E.: Officer Keenan Cook instructs in the elementary, intermediate, and middle schools. D.A.R.E. is an excellent means for teaching students about the dangers of alcohol and other drugs, and for fostering a positive image of police officers with the students.
